1585. Wolfen Featured Sets Request Installation with Paid service
This fixes a bug in Matt's contribution which set the default status of featured items to NO when adding/editing products.

If you had a featured item and edited it, It would automatically default and set it as not featured.

This fixes that. If already featured and you edit, it will stay as featured. If not featured, it will stay not featured.

I too like Matt was annoyed by always having to click on the not featured button all the time when adding new products. haha

1586. Error Message - 1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause' Request Installation with Paid service
The following file is a "how to" guide on fixing the 1054 error in any file in your store.

Some heavily modified stores will require that you fix the code by hand in index.php. In addition, you may have additional files that need to be fixed if you have contribs installed such as Article Manager, Price Breaks contrib, SEO URLs and more.

This file does not show where to fix all the problems in each file, rather is teaches you how to fix the problem (which is very simple) and then guides you where you should look to fix your store.

- There was a problem in the Admin section with the View All Massages dialogue not appearing in Internet Explorer. This has now been fixed.

Some users had problems when using this contribution with SEO URLs.

I've changed the code to work with SEO URL's now.

If you have a problem testing it on a local machine, look in the file catalog/ossCommentz.php and change the line

'<input type="hidden" name="url" value="' . HTTP_SERVER . $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] . '" />'

so that this hidden value reflects the URL of the current page. If anyone could suggest a guaranteed way of retrieving the current URL regardless of server or PHP settings, then please update this contribution.

Google Duplicate Content Manager
Version 1.0 alpha

What is it for?

Google webmaster tools is currently showing duplicate title/descriptions caused by basic oscommerce functions. This script intends to both remove the duplicates then prevent reoccurance.
The URL I want indexed ..

/my-great-product-c-47.html

Duplicates: -

/my-great-product-c-47.html?page=2&sort=2a

/my-great-product-c-47.html?page=3&sort=3d

/my-great-product-c-47.html?language=en

/my-great-product-c-47.html?currency=GBP

ad infinitum.

There are two modes available:


$IhaveDuplicateContent = true; Exists to remove duplicate titles and descriptions from Google by adding relevant text to the front of title/description/keywords creating a unique page.


$IhaveDuplicateContent = false; Exists to prevent duplicates occuring in the first instance.

NOTE: This service does not cater for duplicate links caused by the creation of duplicate cPaths by adding a category to multiple parents. This is a point for future discussion.

Array of $_GET variables to react to.


Installation:


Very simple to install:

Upload one class file.

Add a line to the bottom of application_top.php

add 1 line above the code that prints your meta in index.php (and potentially other files)

add 2 lines below the code that prints your meta in index.php.

Done.

Test Before You Add/Change any Files:

Included is a standalone test file that you can simply upload to your server .. call it directly and it will give instructions on how to test.
